Bio

Helena received her Master’s degree in Immunobiology from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University in Bonn, Germany. In 2019, she started her PhD within the joint PhD training program in immunology between the Universities of Bonn and Melbourne and became a member of the Glodde lab at the Institute of Experimental Oncology, Bonn. Her project focuses on identifying cancer resistance mechanisms to T cell-based immunotherapies. In order to address this, she is using genome engineering- as well as sequencing techniques, multiparameter flow cytometry and experimental mouse models of melanoma and high-grade serous ovarian cancer.
