Jiajun Li

Jiajun completed his M.Sc. in Chemistry at the University of Bonn. For his thesis, he determined the structure of a bacterial transmembrane protein and used it to design biosensors with nanobodies in the Gregor Hagelüken lab at the Institute of Structural Biology. He has advanced experience in cloning, protein expression, protein biochemistry reactions, and analyzing protein structures. In April 2025, he joined Michael Hölzel’s group as a PhD student. His PhD project will focus on cancer targets. He will attempt to determine the structure of these target proteins and use AI-designed proteins to discover new ways to diagnose and treat cancer.
