Bio
Melanie successfully completed her apprenticeship as a biological lab technician at the University of Bonn in 2015 and subsequently worked at the Institute of Structural Biology. Driven by a strong interest in science, she began her academic studies in 2019. After earning her bachelor's degree in 2022, she is now pursuing a master's degree in Medical Immunosciences and Infection.
Her strong interest in cancer research, particularly CAR T cell therapy, led her to join the IEO in January 2025. She is currently conducting her master's thesis in the Glodde group, focusing on the treatment of solid tumors using nanobody-based CAR T cells.
