Roberta studied at University of Salerno (Italy), where she received her degree in Pharmacy in 2017. In 2018, she joined the Experimental Pharmacology Laboratory at University of Salerno, as PhD student, under the supervision of Prof Silvana Morello. During her PhD, she studied the adenosine pathway as mechanism of tumor progression and resistance to immunotherapeutic agents, in patients with metastatic melanoma. In 2021 she moved to Bonn, joining the Hölzel lab as visiting student, in order to complete her PhD thesis. She received her PhD in 2022 and she started her first post-doctoral position in Hölzel lab, where she is currently investigating the plasticity of melanoma, mainly by multiplexed tissue imaging, using the co-detection by indexing (CODEX®) technology.
